Exactly. Everyone with a social media presence wants to be the first to post anything regardless of authenticity the moment they receive it. We see it often on here. Pull out your cell phone camera to photograph someone getting raped or stabbed rather than help the victim.
I'm probably in the minority in this, but I think the email thing could have been handled better. I've mentioned the wife works for DOD, and the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Having an explanation of what they were looking for would probably help prevent some of the blow back.
