Locality pay is not included in the high 3 salary calculations for annuity. Is he a FERS employee?I’ll call a spade a spade. This is 1st major fuckup.
I received the fork in the road email. In fact my boss was easily going to do two more years to 62.
Then they say will institute removal of locality pay to be included with retirement annuities.
In DC that’s 33% locality pay added on top of your pay. No brainer for him. He’s dropping papers. Doesn’t want to lose it, so he drops to get grandfathered in.

The timing was brilliant. They got everyone in an emotional state with the return to office order, pause in grants, and quickly followed it with the fork in the road email (resign). Folks (many that know better) where all in a tizzy. I've only been an employee a few months and had to explain that to some folks....also just let a few keep on being emotional...you know the ones the type they are targeting, lol.
