He saw the impact. That was his flares moment.Seems like the helicopter would be the most likely aircraft to have flare capabilities.

I’ll call a spade a spade. This is 1st major fuckup.Hearing from a lot of senior cilvil servants in the DOD that are going to take the 7 month buyout. These are not slackers, but have had enough of the govt thrash. In the organizations I have led and been around there is a thing we call "the ledge". It is the retired military, senior GS guys that are retirement eligible, but do the job cause they like it.
Now that they have a choice to go early and are tired they may just jump off the ledge with no-one there to take their place. Unintended consequences of Elon telling trump to tell them all to just resign. There are specialties and knowledge that will not be replaced over night. Will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
Why are you looking to leave? Sounds like a good time for a young go getter to move up. Skol!I’ll call a spade a spade. This is 1st major fuckup.
I received the fork in the road email. In fact my boss was easily going to do two more years to 62.
Then they say will institute removal of locality pay to be included with retirement annuities.
In DC that’s 33% locality pay added on top of your pay. No brainer for him. He’s dropping papers. Doesn’t want to lose it, so he drops to get grandfathered in.
Don’t blame him
So here we are. I have also put the “open to work” Chiron *sp on LinkedIn.
Get that guys job. Death is great for advancement so long as it isn't your ownI’ll call a spade a spade. This is 1st major fuckup.

Wife said the same on Knox. I'm trying to let her know i don't think DOD/DHA will catch the wrath that like the IRS and DC centric acronyms will catch, but she's and her coworkers are nervous nonetheless.Hearing from a lot of senior cilvil servants in the DOD that are going to take the 7 month buyout. Dropping Locality pay on retirement is bullshit. Going forward for new hires, sure. But changing the rules in the 3rd quarter is bullshit. I'm hoping it's a bluff to get some dead weight out. But I'll admit they will probably lose some quality employees.I’ll call a spade a spade. This is 1st major fuckup.
