My wife and older kids called me a conspiracy theorist starting around Covid. I now regularly welcome them to the party pal every time they bring up a “conspiracy.” My wife was even question if Melanie was the real Melanie when she was all covered up with the collar and big hat at the inauguration.
She's a government employee, has a gay married relative, and is scared of damned near everything. Any time she brings up Trump, I take it as a personal attack on my character and it ends up a shouting match. Honestly the other day I was running on fumes from lack of sleep and just needed to vent.
We will be fine, she's just scared in the short term because he's the first President in our lifetime that's a "Promises made, Promises kept" kind of guy. We will either not discuss it or fight until she realizes that she ain't gonna lose her job and Trump (and I) could give a shit what 2 consenting adults do.

I flew home from Virginia yesterday. Glad it wasn’t me. I might stick with Dulles from now on when I fly to dc.
In 1982 my dad flew from Orlando to DCA on an air Florida flight. When the plane left DC it was air Florida 90 that crashed into the Potomac.
