Pretty sure all those lithium batteries in these areas are already burnt to a crisp. Now that you mention it, maybe the number of Teslas and other electric vehicles in that area is why the fire spread so quickly and burned so hot
If those planes are scooping up ocean water, doesn't the salt dropped on the lithium cars make them explode even if the fires don't?
I'd think the car batteries would be pretty well protected while they're in the vehicle, but I could be wrong
