Judge Chutkan has put herself in a bind. In denying change of venue motions for J6 defendants—as has every DC judge—Chutkan has a record of insisting a stringent jury selection process will weed out biased jurors. She, like every judge, also trust jurors who say they can set aside personal views to be fair. (LOL)
And if she argues, “yes but this is different because he is a former president and now running for president so his reach and impact are more consequential”—she will argue against her own position that Trump will treated like any other defendant.
In her 2021 ruling denying privilege to Trump from J6 committee, she wrote that president’s aren’t “kings.” She has set herself up to deny this gag order.
Will be fun to see how she navigates this one.
Of all those, union strikes are not in the realm of something the government can fix by opening up the US, offshore and Alaska for oil production, forget about letting students off the hook for their idiocy, fiscal sanity in Congress and controlling the border. I can understand why it’s bugging people. Hated Tebow for the same reasons.
Dude took over the worst roster and program in the country. It will take another year or two to elevate to the next level. But every talking head was saying one or two wins at most this season. What’s been done deserves some respect.
I’m expecting this weeks SC. game to be more competitive, but still need many more dudes. Transfer portal this season is gonna be fun.
