• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

You might believe that, but the fact remains, those that did not step forward (conscientious objectors) were immediately removed from the room.

Involuntary servitude = Slavery
In general, filling out your selective service card is "voluntary consent" to be drafted. While there is technically a (unconstitutional) law saying it's a felony not to register, it's never been prosecuted in the past 35+ years, and you can legally wait until the very last day before your 26th birthday to register.

However, in lieu of prosecution, they heavily penalize people by tying benefits to registering, such as student loans and many forms of federal aid. SCOTUS has upheld the constitutionality of that. Many states even restrict your ability to obtain/renew a driver's license.

True conscription is very common throughout the world, and was even common in the US through the Civil War. But no one of even modest intelligence can read the plain language of the 13th amendment and believe forced conscription is Constitutional in the US. ONLY upon conviction of crime. Zero other exceptions. Thus far, they've skirted it with word games and enticements of privileges (compensation) such as student loans, drivers licenses, etc.

You may need to re-read. You’re another clown sovereign citizen type.

You probably don’t think you need a driver license either.
