Actually, I think the deep state would allow DeSantis to be elected because they know he would be controlled just like Bush. The deep state really wants to have change in party in the White House at least every 8 years. It serves to cloud the fact that we are really governed by them - the deep state. But they know they cannot allow Trump a second chance.
