One of my wife’s friends has been here all morning and she’s a huge lib and not one word of politics has been discussed.
I know several libs firsthand and politics simply does not come up in conversation, nor does religion. What’s the point?

I used to be that way but now days I figure life it too short not to be myself 100% of the time and to say exactly how I feel. Started living that way once the lockdowns of churches started and haven't let up since.
Wife getting cancer has kinda solidified that way off life for me. Don't hold anything back. We only get one shot at this.

Some are passively interested in politics and just adopt of left wing takes because that's what they are exposed to
If they aren't bat shit crazy, there is no need to unnecessarily focus on what you disagree on
My problem is the true believers. They may be cordial, tolerable in person but if they are sucking down mainstream media/ know your politics/ they probably have some deep seated "problem" with you

One thing that has become clear to me over the last couple of years is that libs are horrifically uninformed about what their own side truly does. We have a resident lib in one of my group texts. When you ask him his opinion on something the left is doing, late term abortion for example, he has no clue. He’s not a dumb guy either. The left eats what the media feeds them. So they have no clue what their wife is really up to. It is terrifying.

I deal with enough important things with work and family. I don’t need to argue with friends over things that none of us can control.
I mean, if someone wants to press me into a discussion I will go, but not before telling them that I think it is a bad idea to talk politics. That way after I curb stomp them, I can close with an I told you so.
I don't have a single lib friend and don't even want to attempt to have one as a friend. I see, in a lib, a person who has cost me a over a year of not seeing my kids and my granddaughters like I would normally. Scum of the earth in all aspects IMO.

My sister taught for 12 or so years and was teacher of the year 3 times. She quit bc of 2 things. The parents and other butt nugget teachers that were kept around over good teachers.My mother was a teacher, had kids and stayed home with us until I was in 6th grade, and then went back to teaching. My oldest sister was a teachers assistant for a little while and my other sister was a teacher as well.. Then I married a teacher
the school district wouldn't overlook my past, although no charges in relation to sex/violence/theft and nothing current even. Also had references from a woman who runs the Special Needs program for the entire city, the current head of the program for the district, the retired head of the program and one of their current Special Needs teachers! I won't even begin to start on some of the pieces of shit they have kept on over the years, too! It was extremely infuriating and disheartening.
This is quite a movie we are watching.
