I was watching TV the other day and a political ad came on for a local individual. The ad was a woman hanging out with her young teen daughters, and saying how if so and so is elected, they're going to try to take away the rights of women. She goes on to talk about how they're going to make it illegal to get abortions, and she just can't stand to think about how this stuff will affect the future of her girls.

I'm sitting there thinking, really??? You're more concerned about your daughters getting abortions in the future, than training them to either abstain or use birth control? Seriously?

The problem with polls is they only judge what input they receive. The polling outfits know who responds to polls and what their ideology is. It's easier to conduct a poll and get the results you want when you know who answers polls and how they tend to answer. Autodialers call those who will take/answer the poll versus people who don't answer or refuse to participate. Easier, less time wasted, cheaper and more lucrative.

The theory is that the more the sun shines outside the more people will be outside and not in their air conditioned homes. Only problem is when it's 105 outside and no clouds people are inside cranking the a/c unit down to 68-70. Or, if outside, the a/c is still cranked down so the house will be cool when they go inside. There should be more sunshine in the winter not less.
