It could be. Or it could be a disastrous day. Every attempt by conservatives to start their own social media was killed when Musk bought twitter. If, in the long run, this was not what it appears to be, not only did they kill Trump's and others potential islands of free speech, it will be much harder to convince anyone to start their own in the future.

IMO, we should view today with caution.
