Like others have pointed out, wearing your mask does nothing to protect anyone else or yourself. I understand the "catching droplets" justification, and I'm willing to believe that masks can make some difference in the immediate picture, but in the big picture they are worthless. For people who are very high risk, most grocery stores have curbside pickup as an option.
It's not about being politically correct with a firearm. It is about conducting yourself in a way that limits your own criminal liability, especially with a DA that is hostile to law abiding citizens and a jury pool that is also likely hostile. It's total BS that we have DAs like the one involved with this story. They are highly politicized and corrupt. They're not going to prosecute one of their comrades for trespassing. Besides, trespassing is not justification to threaten someone with deadly force by pointing a gun at them. There very well could have been deadly threats made against the couple that would justify them threatening deadly force in response, but they have no hope of proving that in court.
