Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

He definitely wasn’t squeaky clean, before or after the war. There is that whole ‘helped defeat Hitler’ thing though, so he will be be seen as a good guy.

Of course. The 2 shot vax is magical until you need to salvage a political party and you’ve given the supreme court an out just days before they make a decision on the mandates. You have a manufactured reason to pack the court and can still blame the unvaxxed for whatever variant is next or the current mortality, but now you can squeeze one or two more shots out of people before you run out of the EUA and never give the approved Comiretardy.

I agree, but he could give a darn good speech. He prolonged the war, had some very stupid campaign ideas, such as attack Hitlers under belly by fighting crack German troops entrenched i the Italian Alps etc Plus his fool Gen Montgomery. Then betrayed everyone and handed a huge swath of EU over to Stalin. Churchill like DeGaulle should have been told to sit down and shut up, but FDR was weak as well. Truman was worse.
My cousin much older than me fought the Germans in the Italian Mountains then jumped in behind the lines on D Day. With the First Special Forces.
The troops thought Churchill full of shit and Monty was an idiot.
The French saved the British on the beaches, during their retreat, the USA and Canada saved the British with the convoys of food and material until the USA got to England. Everybody saved the English but the way history is told England won everything.
The ones who actually defeated Hitler was the Russians. They broke Hitlers back at Stalingrad and his German War Machine never recovered.
The USA and all Allies combined lost approx 1M men. Russia lost 25M and kept fighting.
DC should keep that in mind when they suck up to Ukraine and play at land war with Russia. That would be a tragic mistake.
In the book, “the creature of jeckyl Island”, there is a chapter on the sinking of the Lusitania. It doesn’t paint Churchill in the best of light. Basically England did some shady shit to leave the Lusitania as a sitting duck for German u-boats. All a ploy to pull the United States People into supporting the war.
Great book and really fascinating stuff leading up to that ship being sunk. Everything from the markings, the flags they flew, the way it was registered before departing, then no supporting vessels waiting for the Lusitania where she was supposed to pick up English supporting military ships.
Great book about the scumbags that created the fed reserve.
