Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

I think it’s good. Robert’s is saying OSHA was created for purposes other than something like Covid. He is saying forced vaccines were never contemplated in the meaning of OSHA, which is huge in statutory interpretation/constitutionality and the issues be the Courts. He also is stating as proof that this has never been tried in past pandemics since OSHA was enacted.

Honest question, and I respect a lot of your opinions, but do you think TC's statement was a faux pas when he made it?
Im not sure its demanding perfection rather than consistency. People are sick of hypocrites and it is a breath of fresh air when they think someone is actually passionately representing them rather than playing the game. It is not a lack of perfection when that passionate representation is abruptly pulled out from underneath them by someone who has about as well of understanding of the english language as anyone. It was trying to pander to the other side. And I have been about as big of Ted Cruz fan as there could be the last few years.
We may never get change without allies like Ted Cruz. And it may have been a faux pas. But I fear we wouldnt get real change if it comes at the hands of people who simply prove to be an extension of the current problems.
That said, I've made lots of mistakes while speaking, even in front of cameras. I am not ready to cast him out, but it sucks to think we have to wonder about him now.
