Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Figured I should share I am fairing way better after expanding my treatment of covid. Added antibiotic, steroid, zpac and tamiflu to go along with IVM and vitamins. Sleeping still is a bitch but still doing much better than as of a few days ago. Appreciate everyones advice and well wishes.

This twitter account I found has a lot of good stuff. BTW there is a supposed Internet blackout there, not sure how this guy is getting his stuff out then.

President Donald Trump’s approval ratings are higher now than when he left office, and they’re significantly higher than Joe Biden’s.
According to a new Rasmussen poll released today, almost 9 in 10 Republicans and a majority of Americans give him a high approval rating.
Some 52% of voters told Rasmussen Reports that they have a favorable impression of the former president. Meanwhile, among Republicans, 85% have a favorable view of Trump, with 63% declaring a “very favorable” opinion. Even 23% of Democrats and 51% of independents have a positive view of the former president.
Rasmussen has President Trump at 51% approval among Americans and 84% among Republicans — meaning he has a slight improvement with both sets of voters.

William Walker, commanding general of the District of Columbia National Guard, told senators that the then-chief of the Capitol Police requested military support in a “voice cracking with emotion” in a 1:49 p.m. call as rioters began pushing toward the Capitol. Walker said he immediately relayed the request to the Army but did not learn until after 5 p.m. that the Defense Department had approved it. Guard troops who had been waiting on buses were then rushed to the Capitol, arriving in 18 minutes, Walker said.
"The hours-long delay cost the National Guard precious minutes in the early hours of the Jan. 6 rioting, with Walker saying he could have gotten personnel into the building within 20 minutes of getting approval. As it stood, the support did not happen until the evening. The delay also stood in contrast to the swift authorization for National Guard deployment that Walker said was granted in response to the civil unrest that roiled Washington last June as an outgrowth of racial justice protests."
Nancy and the Mayor declined to sign off on putting the Guard on the Capitol steps. Before Trump's speech had finished. But look carefully at the testimony ...The Guard was in buses, staged to react immediately should they be needed. They could have been in the Capitol within 20 minutes of the first call. Instead, the Army dragged its butt.
What is in Nancy's notifications and communications that no one on the Democrat side wants told?
