That isn't really determined yet since I don't think anyone has ever replaced one - except on a 2004 Roadster or something. What does a replacement battery cost?
Not really accurate. Having to replace a battery at this point means that something went awry with your car. When it becomes more commonplace, the guess is $8k - $10k to replace. While battery replacement reports from owners of the Model S outside of warranty are few and far between, we have found a few cases where a full battery replacement visit has cost up to $20,000. That sounds pretty high, but the breakdown in price shows that the Model S battery itself costs somewhere in the realm of $12,000-$15,000.
They're parking spots. They look like this:You have a map of these things or something? I’ve literally never seen a charging station.
Lithium from China (unfortunately). The Gigafactory doesn't use fossil fuels, though the construction of it could. Even still, that's far less than any other car on the market. And that's my point. No gas. No oil.Does Elon have his own personal 100% USA sourced oil field and petroleum plant? What do you think is necessary to build, say, that right fender? Where do the suppliers source? What do you think is used to build those plants to build those parts?
Now about those batteries and lithium mines….
Cobalt mines?
Here’s the thing. It’s good to strive be better and cleaner. But sometimes ‘better ‘ just factually isn’t.
That’s not to knock you or anybody for driving a Tesla. Seriously. Drive what you like and what makes sense for you.
I guess my quibble is with anybody saying otherwise to me and millions of others (you have not said anything of the sort)…. and the complete buffoon in an official position telling people who have to choose between paying for gas or food to just go buy an electric car.
At this point in time, they are not practical or obtainable, economically or otherwise, for the vast majority of the people. We’re, on the whole, just not there, yet. And we’re nowhere close to dealing with environmental impact disposal of the batteries renders. And that’s a fact.
(Same with the turbines)
Also read that our power grid cannot handle the load if even 25% of cars become electric.Does Elon have his own personal 100% USA sourced oil field and petroleum plant? I have some things I need done around the house, she available? Wife shouldn't mind...
My local county tax office (newly built) had 15 - 20 of these stations in the parking lot. I have never seen a single car at one.You have a map of these things or something? I’ve literally never seen a charging station.
Did you take that picture yourself?
New tennis partner? I'm 44...is it too late to take up tennis?
Remember Obama gave control of the WEB to the UN. Now the UN is taking down Private Websites. They do not like that people are waking up.
Good video that gave me another idea of something we can do to insulate ourselves.
Likewise, there are very few areas of the country where you cannot get your vehicle serviced if something breaks while driving. How many places are around which can work on these electric cars if something breaks? Of course, it's like the saying about BMWs, Jags, MB's or other high dollar cars---"if you can afford to purchase one you can afford to pay for the repairs."I'm not pro or con on EV's, but to act like by plugging up you're "not contributing to terrorism" is asinine. Afghanistan is sitting on one of the largest Rare Earth Mineral deposits in the world, and now that the US is out of the way, China gonna step right in and help themselves. Payments will go to the Taliban, money will be used to attack the western world.
I'm with TGSIO, I want to get in the car and get there. Fueling up 'ol girl (my nickname for the F150) takes 5 minutes and I get around 600 miles per tank. Granted, I'm usually at the gas station longer (bathroom, snacks, etc), but if I'm rushed I can be in and out in less than 10.
Couple of things…
So contrived. I’ve seen better acting in the 6th grade Christmas play.
She has the Soros look and a really bad Rachel do.
I hope that under eye luggage is due to her never being able to sleep at night. Surely Bill has had all the lamps bolted down.
Watch interviews with this guy. His body language screams "Liar".
Thank you for the response. These bastards have to be fought.Good video that gave me another idea of something we can do to insulate ourselves.
The number one thing that we have done to protect ourselves is buying our own server. When it talks in the beginning about Gab and Parler having their infrastructure taken away, that cannot happen to us because we own our infrastructure.
The interesting thing I hadn’t thought about was the DNS censoring (kind of obvious but I just hadn’t thought about it yet). It doesn’t remove or touch the website at all, it just makes it where you can’t find it when you type in the URL.
Domains get registered through other companies, so those companies would have a right to do drop your registry. I’ll look into some stuff and make sure we are good.
In the end though, the best thing that we have going for us that will give us the most insulation of anything we could do to protect ourselves is having our own server.
Pretty much gotta hit a Sheetz in Morgantown to find one on I-68... after that? Possibly Cumberland or Hagerstown? But yeah my hypothetical drive to DC in an electric car would basically be me stressing the whole time that I'd end up out of juice on the side of the interstate in Western MD.We have them here in Dayton. 6 spots at the Graduate in Oxford, MS. Plenty in Towson,MD.
Those are parking spots. I have yet to see them in the wild on, say, I-68
(To be fair, I only know this because more than once I thought I scored a great parking spot only to see the sign and plug and proceded to cuss my way over to another, less ideal spot)
I like the pink watch though.I hope this dickhead gets CRUSHED in the election

whatever it takes to get another Trump/Clinton debate I'm in!Hmmm. Is the dem bench so terrible they are willing to trot out Crooked Hillary again?
The cars aren’t quite that old yet. You don’t see a lot of old Prius’s around though. What does a replacement battery cost?
I spit out my vodka tonic watching this buffoon try to read yesterday. My vet says it way past time. The stupid fuck once again is reading from a prompter for Bob Dole and is not cognizant enough to not say end of statement in quotations
The sad thing is, this moron is negotiating for hundreds of millions of Americans, welfare and safety, with guys like Putin and XI.The stupid fuck once again is reading from a prompter for Bob Dole and is not cognizant enough to not say end of statement in quotations
