Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Ladies and Gents...I need your help. My 11-yr old has expressed wanting to get vaccinated to her mother. We are divorced and I do not want my daughter vaccinated. I have expressed this to my daughter and tried to explain to her why. Her mom reached out to me so we can have a discussion about this, so we are going to meet and sit down to discuss.
Can you please post any solid information or data regarding the vaccine especially specific to children?

Still ain't donating a nickel to them and I used to donate any time I went by a collection area.
They screwed up with their racial gaslighting against people who probably make up most of their donations. They knew what they were doing when they said white people should be ashamed and apologize for being born a certain color. Now they get to see what happens when they put social platforms ahead of the many of the very people you rely on to help out the poor and needy in this country.

Now they should just disband that commission of white-hating, anti-Christian bigots they assembled, and use that money to help their beneficiaries instead. I have donated to the SA in the past and believe they do good work, but this entire episode has really made me re-evaluate this charity. If they have money to spend on shaming white people with this BS, then perhaps they have too much money. I'm not sure they realize how much damage they did to their own brand when they hired these freaks to bash Christianity and shame the group who comprise their primary donors.

The first thing you need to do is establish a baseline.
Number 1 covid is not a danger to your daughter. Look up the death rates among children. This is an undisputed fact.
Number 2. The jab doesn't slow the spread or keep anyone from getting it.
So what is the point?
Next just pull the numbers of covid infections and deaths from the most vaccinated countries and pull the numbers and deaths from the least vaccinated countries.
Present the facts, and keep emotion out of it. This will go a long way in keeping the ex approaching this thing logically.
