• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Make sure you take the time to discuss the state of affairs with like minded and not like minded folks alike today. Be cordial. Logic and facts are on our side. Focus on common ground. Let’s increase the size of the tent.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
Definitely be cordial, but do not accept their lazy arguments if you are in a conversation with an ill informed person. That is how we end up with Brandons and ignorant who will continue to vote for them.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

And also refrain from some of the more far out conspiracy theories some on the right believe in (military is going to reinstall Trump or JFK Jr is still alive).

I feel the same. 10 years ago I would have said Bush without a doubt. Now knowing how elections work and how George Bush fulfilled his part to destroy America. I believe he was installed as well.
Gore stood down with the promise of a handsome payoff by the cabal— he got to be their point person on their global warming push (celebrity, acclaim, adoration by Hollywood) and was eventually paid off through his media company. A worthy consolation for that POS scumbag

Or maybe, just enjoy family and accept your differences for a day. Novel concept I realize.

In my family we have Right and Left, Straight and Homosexual, Christian, Agnostic, and Atheist, OU, Texas, and TAMU fans. We even have a Washington and a Packer Fan… and we will all be together today laughing and enjoying food and family.

Would definitely make for a much better day of thanks. One thing all voters should realize is that DC scum (Pubs and Dems) want those cited divisions. They stoke it on every front; religious, party affiliation, racial, income, vax and unvaxxed, plus so much more.

Only when Americans of all types stop constantly being divided will we wake up to the corruption in DC.

right. personally I never talk politics at a family holiday dinner.. that's a good way to make everyone feel very uncomfortable. Even if someone brought up a topic that I disagreed with I would just sit there in silence or go back to watching football. "So how bout them Cowboys"

My wife’s aunts (liberal) stirred up some politics conversation a few years ago at a holiday dinner. I was quiet until I just chimed in and said “I’m a white nationalist” - that shut things down pretty quick and made the dinner very awkward just like I like it

In are family we have three people pregnant. My oldest daughter, first nephew’s wife, and second nephew’s wife. We’ve lost our mom and stepdad/dad over the years and it just doesn’t seem worth the effort to argue today. There will be a touch football game. There will be 35-40 people holding hands and saying what they are thankful for. There will be laughter and tears… and grace for each other.

Anyone seeking to ruin that isn’t family.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Just held court on Ivermectin and Tokyo/Japan and our corrupt big pharma and medical community. It was shocking to my MIL and SIL.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Internet Spoiler Alertist brothers and sisters. :cheers

Thankful Every Day

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
Psalm 100:4

The event on which our modern American Thanksgiving celebration is based began as a three-day harvest celebration in 1621—sometime between September 21 and November 11, the exact days being unknown. Two years later, in 1623, an actual Thanksgiving Day celebration was held. While the original three-day event was more of a “festival” than a “day” of celebration, it suggests a worthy template: not relegating thanksgiving to a single day of the year.
Indeed, a psalmist in the Old Testament admonished his readers to “Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day” (Psalm 96:2, emphasis added). While it is certainly good to set aside a day or days to celebrate God’s goodness, and to give thanks to Him, His blessings are not limited to one day of the year. Gratitude and thanksgiving as a lifestyle are appropriate “from day to day” since that is the pattern of His blessings. As long as God’s blessings continue to flow, so should our thanks flow accordingly.

As you celebrate Thanksgiving today, give thanks to God that His blessings and com passions “are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:23).

As far as politics, I’m entering enemy territory. Visiting my wife’s family, all raging liberals. All have at least one teacher per couple. Her oldest sister usually keeps clear of politics. I haven’t seen the middle sister much lately, so I hope she is cool about it.

Happy Thanksgiving Y'all!

“Thanksgiving in the Bible means to respond to God’s goodness and grace with gratitude. The word for giving thanks in the Old Testament means to raise hands to God in gratitude.”

There are very few things in life you get to choose of those friendship is the most important.

Blessed to be in this thread and come to know each and everyone of you.

By the Grace of God we will all meet in person one day.

May God bless you, your family, your friends, President Trump, Texas, and these United States of America.

@MortgageHorn
Same to you, Brother! And to all of you crazy fvcks! 😄
