I feel the same. 10 years ago I would have said Bush without a doubt. Now knowing how elections work and how George Bush fulfilled his part to destroy America. I believe he was installed as well.
While I like the sentiment, the confidence for David came directly from the God's instruction. He didn't act outside of God's will and was reliant on that prayer to understand what he should do.
Reading a great book on Dietrich Bonhoeffer that tackles this very issue. For those of you who aren't familiar with Bonhoeffer, he was a a pastor in Germany that was part of a group who decided to assassinate Hitler.
He saw, in many ways before anyone else, how evil Hitler and the Nazi's truly were. He was the de-facto ambassador for the resistance to England due to his role in the ecumenical church. He also recognized that God was putting him in a position to resist evil. While many others were scared about breaking the 7th commandment (thou shalt not murder), Bonhoeffer's deep faith gave him assurance that God would forgive him because he true righteous motivations and God saw his heart intent, even if he was ultimately wrong or failed (which he did).

It hasn’t turned into a 24/7 Trump bashing site. I never agree with any single person on all topics. Therefore, I generally support him. The promoting of tue vax would be a notable exception.
I would say the board is overall very good content. I can only think of two avid Trump bashers ITT. Regrettably, it seems to be the focus of most of their posts. As a solid contributor to the thread I would suggest putting a few on ignore rather than quitting entirely.
