Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Wow! That’s crazy! My son played at KState for 5 years, we went to WV twice and had an absolute blast!! We never had 1 incident with their fans and that was one of our fav places to go! I even said last weekend we should get a group and go back next year it was that much fun!?Airtighty then...Texas is not good (I knew that). I was on the second row Texas side. Max is tickled that the coaches were subjected to what he and his coaches/ teammates hear. And God yes... They heard me. Didn't listen...just like a man(Ahem...that was not a frigging first down. Happened dead across from me. CHALLENGECHALLENGECHALLENGE WHY THE HELL ARE YOU YOU NOT CHALLENGING?????...and this is why they won't play for you. Just wore them out.)
That said....I generally like and get along with people. This was the first time I wouldn't go to the bathroom or get a beer without my husband escorting me....ever. I've never experienced 20ish year old kids screaming 'fuck you Texas bitch' in my face. Some of the grown men weren't much better. I really loved being called a 'fucking Texas whore'. When a student decided it was acceptable to touch me as he was yelling at me and calling me 'bitch. Whore. Texas bitch. Fuck you bitch' as he hung over the fence for the student section and spit at me...that's one time I had to grab my husband to keep him from killing a kid. The kid thought he was big when he was in my face. To be fair, the average sized leprechaun thinks he's big compared to me. But he was a big, bad little boy putting a bitch in her place.. Until my husband stepped behind me. My husbsnd is 6'4. He ain't small.
I've been to many venues with many opposing fans. Never have I experienced the flat out filth as I did Saturday. I won't ever go back.
I had a girl who though she was cute (she wasn't and was maybe 19) who said 'you look so cute, good luck in the sec bitch". I finally answered (because I tend not to argue with children and had just kept my mouth shut because the people directly around me were lovely and fun. Trash talking and all...good spirited) and said at the end on the day I'm still winning. I'll never be mistaken for fucking WV trash. (There was dead silence) I kinds feel bad about it. The vocal minority was awful, but the majority was not. And I know that was not an accurate representation of the people of WV. But nobody in that majority said a damn thing to stop a bunch of trashy kids who are literally fenced in and a few men from making me fear for my safety...which in turn made me fear for my husbsnd's safety. He wanted to leave at halftime because he didn't like what he was hearing. I should have listened to him.
The hotel was beautiful. Had a great time the night before. But game day left a bit to be desired.
And thank goodness I didn't take my jeep.

My personal list from experience -
1. Miami - they are scum and like to attack in groups. Never one on one. Carrying a nice ballpoint pen in each hand seems to warn them.
2. LSU - just absolute scum. Same as above.
3. WV - these idiots seem like the Wonderful Whites attempting college.
I guess it is supposed to indicate that he is still President with Military protection in Mar-A-Lago, but no idea.

No doubt Miami has the worst fans. They ain’t called scUM for no reason. I went to the last FSU vs. Miami game at the original Orange Bowl. The fans were yelling at us and cursing and it really did seem like we would get jumped if we didn’t keep moving.
