The kicker is you had to go through the Police Auxiliary 8 week course one night a week. They try and get you to sign up for their auxiliary unit for crowd control. surveillance, etc. First question I asked when we started the ridealong was "I can carry my gun, right". That didn't go over well.

My wife and I both went with religious exemption based on the use stem cells from abortions in developing the vaccines. Both of ours were approved. If you give a legitimate religious reason and provide some support for the belief, your employer almost has to approve it.
