Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

I wore the refs out tonight. (And as has been previously established, yes, they hear me. My voice carries). Worst officiating I've ever seen...and that takes into account that last week the refs took 7 minutes to study the rule book to make the call.
Now I'm going to brag on all these young men. I'm so damn proud of them. These are men. And they're good men. They fought through adversity, challenges, and an administration that has been trying to cancel football. They refuse to back down. And we, their parents and the vast majority of the community, won't either.
Tuesday will be fun. The first step on the road to getting the assats out. (the si and his handler can't be canceled until 2023, but we can at least get a couple of people in there that will cause a little trouble for them)

I’m hoping this was a states rights matter (10th amendment) and not a vax matter. Lord helps us if they ruled on vax and not on constitution.
She is quoted as having said that, as a statement. What she actually said is "I would like to say etc. etc." and went on immediately to state that she doesn't believe that is the right approach and that it would only foster a bad spirit. That is called context. The quote we see her credited with, without the rest of what she said, is ABSOLUTELY taken out of context.
And I didn't read it. I watched the entire video and saw her with my own eyes (ugh) and heard her with my own ears.
I'm not saying she made any sense whatsoever or that she is precisely misquoted - those words escaped her lips. But so did further contextual words, both before and after them, that dramatically impact the meaning of those words. We need to be better than that. We took exception to their misquoting Trump's "good people on both sides" and a million other things. Who are we then to do the same thing in return?
And lastly, she was out of line and yes she is a lunatic and has no business instructing anyone in an institute of higher learning.
I think it really comes down to SCOTUS upholding and empowering the 10th amendment here…

My mother in law has been in the hospital with covid pneumonia for the last 4 days. They sent her home last night with her O2 at 90 and regularly dropping into the 80s. It seems the antibody treatment is really helping her. My father in law is sick but not hospitalized (headache, fever, chills, no smell). He got antibodies the day after his symptoms showed up. Don’t wait too long on the liquor. My local store (admittedly not one of the huge chains) has been out of Woodford Reserve for a couple weeks. They told me the manufacturer is having trouble getting the glass bottles. Apparently the supply chain issues have extended to glass bottles. He also said Jack Daniels is only producing their black label right now (and not any of the flavors) because of the glass shortage and obviously their black label is the best seller. He also said the small beer makers cannot get any aluminum cans because they are all being claimed by Bud/Coors/Miller.
Saw many Woodford bottles at Specs yesterday.
Tried to find Busch Lite but they had none (payment for chimney repair). Niece said just get him (her husband) "Keystone Lite, the other white trash beer".
Yeah I know I could go to Specs but I really like supporting my local shop. They NEVER required masks or any of that other crap during all this. They are a couple dollars more expensive than Specs but it’s worth it to me.
