Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

I had shingles at about 32. Nothing I know of set it off. It sucked but was mostly around my belt area so not a huge deal. I took some valtrex and it cleared up on about a week. My brother in law had it in his late 20s on his face and around he is eyes. He was miserable for about a week.

They’re producing at a pretty high clip on the limited amount of time they’ve already had by most judicial and historical standards.
I know some where hoping they would essentially do away with all the vax mandates but that’s many different legal benchmarks which have all have precedence is the opposite direction. Couple the above with the idea of limiting the government’s ability to execute policy during an ongoing national emergency (and emergency declarations in all 50 states) and it’s really not surprising that it seems the idea of religious liberty being a blank check, and removed from the limitations placed on all other rights, just wasn’t a notion the majority was willing to endorse at this time.
