Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

The whole mask charade is exactly that, a charade. If they worked, the virus wouldn't have spread so quickly. If the jab worked as originally stated, it wouldn't be spreading at the same rate through the jabbed population vs. unjabbed population.
I agree with you that this guy probably shouldn't have gone up on the stage like he did, but we also don't know all of the details. Is he a member at that church who was making a point? Was he just a random dude that has never been there before, and he walked up and was being somewhat threatening to the priest? Don't know, but it appears that the priest instigated it by getting all flustered and calling him out initially.

He can pardon whoever he wants. There is virtually no limitation to the pardon power the President has. It is up to Congress to impeach and remove a President who abuses this authority.
As someone who has participated in the creation of security protocols for my church, I can tell you that anytime someone approaches the priest or altar like this, there will be a response. I think the masks are noting but virtue signaling, but as soon as he started advancing towards the priest like that he was going to encounter a forceful response. His protest (that's what it really is) would have been much more powerful if he had simply stayed in the pew and refused to wear a mask. He might have eventually been removed anyway, but he reduces the impact of his protest when he advanced towards the priest like that.
I understand and share your frustration that it seems nobody pays any price for the obvious crimes of fraud that are committed. The problem is that refusing to vote GUARANTEES that the Democrats will win, whereas conservatives and patriots actively voting and being a part of the process (ie volunteering at polling location, being a poll watcher, etc) will reduce the chances of Democrat fraud and reduce their chances of "winning" an election. Your approach GUARANTEES failure, whereas mine reduces the chances of failure. It's OK to admit that there is fraud in our election system while still participating in it. As frustrated as we all are about the fraud, non-participation is the absolute worst possible response to it. Ask yourself this: would the Left rather have you vote, or sit on your hands in frustration while they all voted (and cheated)? Your approach would be welcomed by the Left. Think about that...
The biggest problem is homes/land. I bought my house 2 years ago and it has doubled in value. I’m not selling but my neighbor across the street just did for twice what I paid. Theoretically I would owe tax on that gain. I don’t have that kind of money laying around. Would have to sell my house, as I feel most everyone I know would as well.

Yea well in Broward they just voted to keep kids in masks despite the numbers being below the threshold they said could come off. I love DeSantis but he needs to come to the places that are hurting and stop spouting off in friendly areas. Come to a Broward School board meeting. Bitch today actually said they only received 10 complaints about masks in the last 2 months from kids. Moms for freedom or whatever it is had thousands of complaints. Those apparently didn’t count. Come on Ron, come fix this shit.
