I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Badass. The coolest thing I have ever seen, nature/science related, was a huge meteor one morning as I was leaving work. The sky was already a bit light around dawn, and this bright meteor, much bigger & brighter than venus, went over me, completely from one horizon to the other. Probably watched it for almost 10 seconds. So freakin cool.

I love the internal combustion engine, and so many of the muscle cars that use it. I also love Teslas and it has nothing to do with hating fossil fuels or being a tree hugger. Their performance is off the charts, and absolutely blows away basically every gasoline powered car ever built. Who the hell wouldn't want a car that can get to 60 in under 2 seconds?! Fuck the haters.

Have you looked at the VAERS form? It is fairly time consuming/tedious to be accurate and thorough. There are disclaimers that if you are sending false info you can be prosecuted. One of the check boxes is who is reporting: healthcare professional/staff, parent/caregiver, patient, other. They know how many are reported by patients and by those in the medical field. They can weed through silly ones and concerning ones fairly easily if they wanted to. Until any part of the gov’t can prove otherwise, I think they are lying outright, by omission, or obsivication.Anyone can file into the VAERS system.

My understanding is that because it takes a good bit of time to fill that all out, it is believed that adverse reactions are UNDERreported. A physician isn't going to waste their valuable time doing all that that unless they are pretty confident their claims are accurate.
Just being immunosuppressed/compromised encompasses a large spectrum of causes. Being a well controlled diabetic or if you just had a solumedrol for a bad poison ivy exposure are one end of the spectrum. Being a bubble boy is the other end (The Moops). One of the first line treatments for Covid is dexamethasone, a potent corticosteroid, would move you into the immunocompromised/suppressed category If you gave it during anesthesia for post op nausea/vomiting prophylaxis.
As you said, it should be a personal choice. There is a marked difference b/w a little leaguer and a paraplegic, obese 65 y/o with diabetes, a bedsore you can fit your head in, and hypertension. Looking at the data out of the UK, I think it is stupid to even recommend to the public to get the jab if you are less than 40 and probably 50 if you have no comorbidities. But with VAERS data that you don’t know WTF it means, fucking Fauci, mandates, democrats being blinded by their overlords, suppressing even information about therapeutics, lying about Cominarty, giving the control group the vaccine at 6 months, diagnosis/death data being manipulated for political gain, forced to stay in your home, mental health problems, whatever the fuck this is going to do to our kids, Russia Russia Russia, election fraud, fake Jan 6th, buttfuckistan withdrawal, the elder abuse to Biden, mainstream media propaganda, fact checking, the deification of a career criminal, antifa phags, a 2 tiered justice system, all three branches of Gov’t compromised from county to federal level, and having 2 years to this fucked up mess - makes me not want to get a fvcking vaccine.
Supposedly health care people are by law, required to report Adverse reactions, but I don’t know what that entails. Are you only required to report if someone’s head explodes or a bad headache two weeks later. You have no idea if more are being reported b/c the vaccine is in its infancy and in peoples minds vs. previous low rates of reporting for a vaccine with a long track record like MMR, etc. probably nothing gets reported unless someone spontaneously combusts.

Yes many here think the VAERS system is underreported.
Given how strongly some feel about the jabs, and the fact that it would be nearly impossible to prosecute, it’s easy to see how abuse of the system could be taking place too.
Then there are going to be plenty of people who are going to file reports just in case there *might* have been a tie to the vaccine. Parents thinking they saw something with their kid, kids with senior parents, ect.
They run a test to see if they use this approach on people. They have to be in a sweet spot in the infection / infection reaction.
