The only way to make a lot of $$ and not pay taxes is to continuously buy equipment and trucks and so forth and write them off every year. Of course, unless you’re growing tremendously in a capital intensive industry, then you’re just wasting $$ on things you don’t need, and you wind up with unneeded fixed assets instead of a pile of cash.

Anyone who says they’re paying little or no tax on a continual basis is not really making $, lying, using the pointless scheme above, cheating, or most likely, doesn’t understand how much tax they’re paying. There are businesses that can shift income to other countries, but 99%+ of small businesses aren’t operating in multiple countries.

U need to have a talk with my dad. Our farm sorely needs upgraded equipment & he just can’t grasp the idea of asset acquisition for both tax & inflation hedges. He’s just old school & doesn’t think that way.

He has been hitting the traditional GOP fundraising holes.

I don’t think he is swamp currently but he just doesn’t have enough pull to attempt a run without doing those things.

I actually think it’s a pull for Trump because he will eat up money that would otherwise go to Pence or some other crazy RINO. Then he will back out of the primary (maybe never enter it at all) and support Trump. Chances he becomes SoS again go from 98% to 99.5%.

Would be very good for his stock come 2028 and beyond if that were the case.
