Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

I went in for annual blood work/physical to my primary today. We started talking about Ivermectin- he pulled up several studies showing it’s effectiveness. He was more than willing to write me a script for 40 tablets of 3mg, and said it would be difficult to get it filled. CVS and Publix said they would not fill. I am hoping a small local chain will fill it- will try them tomorrow.

You can call a pharmacy and ask them to get your prescription transferred to them. I had CVS call Walmart and they transferred it to CVS due to pricing.

CVS said that they are not filling Ivermectin unless it’s for a very specific reason and was a policy that they started 2-3 weeks ago- Publix pharmacist said that she didn’t like the doseage and that “these doctors writing these prescriptions don’t know what they are doing “- Mine came from a doctor literally across the street from her store- not from the internet- I’m not arguing with a woke dumb bitch so I left her to discuss it with the air.

I am intrigued though by the spin that somehow I’m anti-kid when when I’ve mentioned multiple times that I think it was awful what happened to the kid (because of the mom). I’ve also stated multiple times that I’m against the mandate and the business enforcing it as well.
I really don’t understand why people are so upset about accurately stating that the mom made the choice (twice) to put the kid through that by putting him on the plane then choosing not to apply for his waiver.
It doesn’t really matter tho whether we agree on this, or other things that we’ve established, that we don’t agree on. Reasonable minds can agree to disagree.

Something like that happened to me talking with American airlines. Was looking for business class round trip to Budapest, quoted me a price, which was fine. So I asked for a price using my points I was trying to get rid of. She said I had enough for one way and I could pay for the return flight. I said ok, what's the price, she gave me the same price because it was one way. I asked her why would I take that deal, she explained that I was getting a deal using my points.
I asked her why would I use my points and still pay the same price. She responded the same way she did the first time. I tried to politely explain to her that why should I use up the points and still pay the normal price. She didn't get it still. I went United/Lufthansa.
