Strange for sure.Something like that happened to me talking with American airlines. Was looking for business class round trip to Budapest, quoted me a price, which was fine. So I asked for a price using my points I was trying to get rid of. She said I had enough for one way and I could pay for the return flight. I said ok, what's the price, she gave me the same price because it was one way. I asked her why would I take that deal, she explained that I was getting a deal using my points.
I asked her why would I use my points and still pay the same price. She responded the same way she did the first time. I tried to politely explain to her that why should I use up the points and still pay the normal price. She didn't get it still. I went United/Lufthansa.
There is no thinking, what's on the computer is the truth
I was in Budapest and decided to take a tour so I call a tour company and booked the deal. The lady guide showed up at my hotel in a beat-up VW Rabbit with a huge hole in the dash where her radio had just been stolen.
As I started to get in she shouted at me to check my shoes because she didn't want any horse shit in my car.
