This weekend Prof. Salman Zarka, Israel’s COVID-19 health czar, “called for the country” to prepare for their “fourth doses of the” Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, as the third booster shot is already predicted to fail.
Despite Israel’s infection rate continuing to soar as the country has already administered a third injection of the Pfizer vaccine to 2.5 million Israelis, who risked losing their freedom of movement and association, doled out to the vaccinated via their totalitarian “green pass” health passport, Zarka says that the virus will not be beat and a fourth dose will soon be required. Given that that the virus is here and will continue to be here, we also need to prepare for a fourth injection,” Salman Zarka told Kan public radio, as reported by the Times of Israel.

It’s no secret that tech giants have exploded in value over the last few years, but the scale can be hard to comprehend.
Through wide-scaling market penetration, smart diversification, and the transformation of products into services, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and Google have reached market capitalizations well above $1.5 trillion.
To help us better understand these staggering numbers, a recent study at Mackeeper took the market capitalization of multiple tech giants and compared them with the annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of countries.
Editor’s note: While these numbers are interesting to compare, it’s worth noting that they represent different things. Market cap is the total value of shares outstanding in a publicly-traded company and gives an indication of total valuation, and GDP measures the value of all goods and services produced by a country in an entire year.

If Apple’s market capitalization was equal to a country’s annual GDP, it might just be in the G7.
At a market cap of more than $2.1 trillion, Apple’s market capitalization is larger than 96% of country GDPs, a list that includes Italy, Brazil, Canada, and Russia.
In fact, only seven countries in the world have a higher GDP than Apple’s market cap.
Further back is Microsoft, which would be the 10th richest country in the world if market cap was equivalent to GDP.
With a market cap of more than $1.9 trillion, Microsoft’s value is larger than the GDP of global powerhouses Brazil, Canada, Russia, and South Korea.
Though all of the tech giants fared well during the COVID-19 pandemic, perhaps none have stood to benefit as much as Amazon.
With online retail and web services both in high demand, Amazon’s market cap has grown to $1.7 trillion, larger than 92% of country GDPs.

Apple has the finances of the 8th largest country in the world. Also doesn’t have to protect land, nor maintain armed forces like a country does. (However, they do have a security force that can be used to extract Apple employees from an area of disruption. Very capable. )
A company like Apple doesn’t need to spend on a military. So those dollars go to lobbying. Huge dollars. However, they have to spend that worldwide. So the cost is also huge.
Microsoft is close on their heels.
I don’t think either has nefarious intentions. They just protect themselves from governments that want to take some of their earnings.

And now my mom has tested positive (she says no symptoms, my dad said she's developed a cough. I'm not worried about covid for her per se. I'm worried about her immune system going haywire). Dad was feeling much better until tonight. He's now got pressure and pain on his right side (he was hurting on his left until yesterday). I absolutely wore them both out. None of their lectures at teenage me can touch what I laid on them tonight. I can't physically get to them and I know they're counting their blessings for that. Get your fucking behinds to a hospital with real treatment... fucking now, Mama and Daddy. Meh... they're fine they tell me.
I'm going to kill them myself... when I get them back in the States and can get my hands on them.
Their 51st anniversary is today and at least they finally got put in a room together.
