Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

There is hope, however. God stands willing and ready with open arms to clean and restore every person who turns to Him through His Son, Jesus.
The Bible tells us that people will continue to choose Satan, and as the days and years draw near to an end, they'll do it at an even greater rate. As Paul told his student Timothy:
"But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these."
Doesn't that sound just like our present day?
That's such an important reminder, and a timely one.

It’s not an “fiat” vs Bitcoin thing.
State issued currencies play a vital role in preserving sovereign states and allowing them to enact policy amongst their own citizens (they have plenty of positives and some draw backs). On the other hand Bitcoin just serves to make criminal activity easier and promote globalism (by bypassing sovereign government’s and their will) (all other qualities negative).
I don’t believe MSM because MSM, Twitter, Big Business, and the Dead Internet peddle Bitcoin and cryptos making them seem less destructive then what they truly are. Furthermore, while money laundering is a thing in any currency, criminal activity represents over half of all crypto transactions. Mean half of all dollars aren’t a part of criminal activity and have instead built the greatest country in world history.
“Fiats” might not be perfect, and the central’s banks certainly suck, but Bitcoin (and most cryptos) trade a mediocre system for an absolutely broken one.
Mostly I posted because I was the only one who said it would happen even tho many said it couldn’t be done…
We can go around on this as much as you want in the crypto thread but folks here are more tired of this debate than listening to the OSU football circle jerk.
