• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

All these stories about US military not allowing US citizens into the airport can't be true. I mean, WTF? If Taliban is preventing US citizens from getting to the airport, that I can understand. But being stopped by the US military on location? I REALLY want to believe this is not true. I'm still a skeptical hippo on this story, but moving in the direction of believing it. If there is more proof and information that comes out, there needs to be some SERIOUS ramifications. People need to be in prison for this kind of shit.

The Taliban are notoriously terrible partners. I can't imagine them being armed to the teeth would make that better. They were going to take Afghanistan before they took all our leftovers.

Relieved from his command and he subsequently resigned his commission on video. Supposedly he is going to bring the whole corrupt, diseased temple down on their heads.......and it's going to be biblical. I shall remain skeptical until something actually happens. I cannot understand how or why this dude would throw away 17 years of his life's work if he actually is just blowing smoke, so call me skeptically optimistic?? lol
