It's not a free press in the sense of what the founding father's stated. Unbiased news and the reporting of unbiased news comes many rungs down the ladder when wanting to keep raking in their multi-million $ salaries and parroting the commands coming through their ear pieces. This doesn't include voting almost unanimously liberal democrat and donating almost exclusively to the same.

I like his demeanor. And this may well be disinformation but I've read he is isn't the good guy people think. But ive never seen anything substantial about him negatively. So unless there is something demonstrative, I give him the benefit

This is pretty typical for water utilities, but usually they just give you bonus points in the selection criteria if you are m/wbe. Some select contractors that way, more select subcontractors that way.
