Not so much the attorneys but those who hired them and reap the monetary returns.
On Friday, 12/6, the DC Court of Appeals upheld the 1/19/25 banning of Tik-Tok in the US unless TT is sold. WalMart and Oracle both had tentative approval to purchase it in 2020. TT said they would take the matter to the SCOTUS.
The Appellate Court considered First Amendment objections in its decision and addressed them by saying, “The First Amendment exists to protect free speech in the United States. Here the Government acted solely to protect that freedom from a foreign adversary nation and to limit that adversary’s ability to gather data on people in the United States.”
The 1/19/25 date may only be for one day as Trump said he would not ban TT.

You'd think that sometime the insurance companies that pay damage awards for defamation by media would say, "no mas". Apparently, these defamers were educated in public schools and have an inability to learn from peers' past losses for similar actions.
