Funny. Neighbor had a huge tree (3 feet diameter) cut down yesterday. There is a 20 x 20 x 5 foot pile in the front yard. The squirrels are running in and out of the tunnels made when stacking it. They must think it's their own personal jungle gym.

Question for you BBQ people. Is maple a good wood to smoke with?

The top is imported Radiata pine.(quick growth cycle, hence wide grain pattern). Bottom is a hardwood.(white oak is my guess)
