• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Texas pools aren’t engineered to withstand this kind of cold and if you didn’t work to keep it from freezing over, you were going to have issues. More on him getting bad advise. The "next" levels were all probably hired by and rabbi'd by the McCabe's, Comey's, Rosenstein folks. That's where their loyalty was and is, not to the voting public or an outsider President. Fvck around looking like you're doing something (Barr) and then get rid of the outsider before he can really get into the details.

Pro-tip from a northern pool owner.

Buy caps for your jets and keep about 5 jugs of anti-freeze on hand in case this would happen again.

We leave pools (mostly)full through the winter up here. You just have to drop the water level below your jet level and fill your plumbing with anti-freeze.

I read a stat somewhere that those who are (I believe it was) trans, so 50-60% of them were sexually abused as children. That suicide rate is no joke. I've had people I work with say they know of teens that their kids are friends with who have taken their own lives. Kids that were happy, smart, in sports, etc., the ones you would least expect.
