Did DeSantis say WHY he was not in favor of the tariffs on Chyna? I’ve now read 2 articles on this and have not seen an explanation.

A closed event, going off the word of one guy, we don’t even know specifically what he said.

Regardless, Biden has kept most of those tariffs in place. Generally speaking, they aren’t good policy. Which is why Biden kept them. Mostly, tariffs just raise prices.

Judging Desantis based on what he did in office concerning China and not listening to double digit IQ Trump cheerleaders seems to be the most reasonable thing to do. For example, Desantis in Fla signed a bill that prohibited further Chinese ownership of US real estate, an action that every state should take.

There are many places that are clearly not at all in touch with their customer base. This one here might be the most egregious of them all. Seriously NASCAR, you thought running a pride night would be a good thing? LOL. On top of that we are having this gay pride BS thrown at us for an entire month and 99.5% of us are straight people who do not like pedophiles and child groomers. Not too difficult to grasp people. We ain't celebrating that evil.

Probably because his donors are partnered with China in business dealings. DeSantis was a member of Congress when China stole 15 million records on government employees. Connect the dots.

It also gives him double jeopardy immunity.
Or perhaps because economic protectionism can be fraught with downside. The tariff war is one of the only Trump-era policies Biden has persisted, and China keeps gaining economic power while US hegemony wanes.

That's very interesting. I'm curious how the youth unemployment rate is computed in Sout Africa. Is it anyone under a certain age? Anyone within an age range? Is there an "intends to be in the workforce" qualifier? Helps to understand the scale of the situation to have additional context.
