It's like playing pingpong, but the paddle is larger, the ball is bigger and you're standing on the table.

Not to mention ANYONE can play it! Even fat folks who can't move very fast.

It's also darn near free of cost. For $50 you can get a decent paddle and a ball. You'll need to wear clothes and court shoes, but the initial outlay of cash is nil... vs any other sport.

I'd rather shoot 95 on the golf course rather than play pickleball.

PB is a game of finesse, dexterity, speed, precision and skill. Folks who have good hand eye coordination do well.

Tennis players, racquetball players tend to do better than most, but it's the finesse part they lack. "Banging" the ball isn't a winning strategy.
