I'm going a few minutes at a time at work as well. Basically that the DS wants him out because he screwed up their plans and timeline, and he is a sacrifice in their temple (the capitol; symbolism will be their downfall). That he will be impeached and then criminal charges will be filed with the DoJ.

You probably heard that a water treatment plant in Florida got hacked…
The hacker changed the levels of sodium hydroxide in the water.
None of the water reached the public and nobody was harmed.
Now, most people think that we stopped an attack, all is well, and the facility caught the hack just in time.
But, here’s what is the much more likely scenario…
This is what is called in the intelligence business as “probing.”
Since poisoning a water supply is a great way to bring down a nation, you start with just one single treatment plant as a test.
You hack in there and purposely leave a trail so the place knows they got hacked.
Why?
Because your goal isn’t the hack itself, it’s to see how they react after the hack and what security measures they have in place.
So, right now, the hackers are watching what the plant is doing and they’re seeing the systems the plant has in place so they can get around these systems in the future.
And the systems this plant has in place are likely the same systems that most water treatment plants have around the country.
So, while the public is celebrating that the hackers got caught…
The hackers are probably laughing because their plan is working and they are figuring out the true way to poison water treatment plants in the future.
Bottom line, I know I keep beating a dead horse about this…
But, you’re crazy in today’s climate if you don’t have a significant supply of water at home and plenty of water filters.
It can be the 55-gallon drums or cases of water from Costco or whatever works for you.
Just make sure you have a 30-day supply of fresh water and then ways to purify water for at least one year.

The better question is how can India the 2nd largest population on earth which is literally a giant shithole when it comes to sanitation and public health - have better numbers than Western Europe, The United States, & Canada?

Like our power grid - we don't protect them.

Until very recently whenever someone would say the grid is vulnerable, I would always think electrical utilities.
But then you start thinking about water and natural gas it gets scary quick
And most people don't think twice about it not be there tomorrow therefore they have no backup plan.

They have figured it out. You would be shocked at the number of incidents at dam's, power stations, sub stations that are reported. All reports are kicked up to Homeland Security and they produce a monthly rollup that would make anyone nervous to the amount of probing activity.
Lots of people just drive up, take pictures, see reactions of officers and then drive away.

Makes me that much more thankful for my well and wood heat. I even have an old hand pump available for my well if the electric grid goes down. I’m not naive enough to think that I’m totally set, but I’ll be better off than most when the shtf.
Thanks Brutha. Pops is slowly getting worse. Completely immobile but in good spirits. It’s been nice just sitting with him every day and talking/spending time together. If any of you are fortunate enough to still have your father around, spend as much time as you can with him. It’s priceless.

The power grid isn’t a matter of protecting every transmission line and substation. That would be near impossible and, frankly, unnecessary. The key to defending the grid is handling an outage and making sure there is no cascading effect. All transmission-owning entities have required plans to handle such contingencies. Plus, line and substation outages happen all of the time due to natural causes (storms, animal infiltration, etc.). The grid is more secure than the public believes.
Its the timing of the arrest that is so rich! Perfect!

And to that point (and generating plants in general) a loss of a plant would be horrible, but they trip all of the time for normal causes and the grid is designed to deal with it. The problem with a dam being damaged isn’t the loss of power, it would be the devastation of flooding from the dam failing.

The problem with natural gas is that it doesn’t have the networked redundancy the electric grid has. Same with water.
Understand there are backups to backups, but the mindset of a terrorist is to cause terror. Our citizens are weak minded and when the news says X was blown up, or infiltrated by cyber, half the citizens will go into panic mode and it cascades from there.
