It's about OBiden and several agencies (Defendants) working with FB, Twitter, YouTube, Google, et al., to censor comments made on their forums claiming "disinformation" or anything else.
The Defendants wanted the suit dismissed claiming the Plaintiffs did not have standing to file their suit. The court ruled against the WH and the government. The Defendants then claimed the suit should be dismissed citing Sovereign Immunity, that the Plaintiffs were barred from suing the Defendants. The court granted the motion on this argument. However, it granted the motion without prejudice meaning the Plaintiffs can bring the case again. Had the court granted the motion with prejudice the Defendants could use res judicata (already decided) to bar further action. A big win and minor setback for the Plaintiffs.
The Defendants also included a small portion of Section 230, the law which has shielded social media companies from suits. Section 230 is before the SCOTUS now waiting on a decision. Once the SCOTUS decides 230 it could prompt another suit.
