• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

HR 127, proposed on Jan 4 , 2021, has had the text of the bill added online.
It includes: Gun registration (who, what, where stored, etc); Insurance requirements; Psychological Testing of gun owners (and their families!); Gun Training Requirements; Public access to federal gun registry info; Elimination of prior laws preventing the creation of gun registration.
And a lot more... this is just the beginning of the gun grabbing we knew was coming. Need to keep our eyes on this one. Get involved!

Globally 2020 was one of the weakest in past 40 years. Accumulated Hurricane Energy was 76% of average (1980-2010). How is this possible, when we were constantly told about the 2020 'record' hurricanes? This is because there was more hurricane energy in the North Atlantic. But most climate reporting conveniently left out that there was much less hurricane energy in the other regions (i.e. Western Pacific, Eastern Pacific, Southern Hemisphere). For each hemisphere and globally, 2020 was much lower than average.
Sadly, we are not well served, when climate reporting tells us only about where things are worse, and neglect to tell us that things are much better more places

In its over-simplified form, evidence is testimony and documents.
Needs to have a foundation - where did it come from? Cant just introduce a document that nobody knows who generated it. A lot of govt docs are self-authenticating.

Needs to be relevant. Does the introduction of the evidence outweigh any negative impact (prejudice) on the parties opposing it? This will be the battle. Dems will say election fraud is not relevant. Trump will argue that the demonstration was assembled because of election fraud.

Sounds like his prior lawyers simply wanted to battle that his actual speech was not incitement - which I cannot blame them for. But Trump maybe wants to take this opportunity to lay out the election fraud.

After that, it is basically a question of fact for the jury. Is it biased. Is it credible, etc.

You have nearly every Dem member of Congress and the MSM claiming that the “insurrection” was based on, and caused by, Trump’s “Big Lie” about election fraud. It sure as hell is relevant. And if it is based upon the DNI and/or Military Intelligence assessments and evidence, then foundation is not an issue, either.

Completely agree. But you know they will say it does not matter why he gathered. They will say he displayed a history of inciteful and antagonistic behavior, then he gathered, incited and a "riot" ensued. And I barely know the rules of evidence as it is, let alone how it applies in an impeachment.

Well, Robert’s allowed an entire impeachment trial based upon 3rd level textbook hearsay, so there’s that. If Leaky Leahy can stay awake or out of the hospital long enough to drool out a ruling, I’m gonna bet he tries to prohibit probative evidence.
 
In case anyone hasn't figured it out yet 2000$ checks would kick most Americans off of Medicaid.



The cut off in most states is 2000$ in assets. Even if a person falls back below that number in a day the whole month (at least) is due for revocation.
