This is happening all over. In my local ISD, the board fired a Superintendent for abysmal test scores. They did a national search and hired some woman from Atlanta who was involved with a huge cheating grade scheme or some scandal. The school board brought her to Texas. Kept her as Superintendent for 6 months and then fired her for what was going on in Atlanta. You'd think they would have checked that out first. They did and still hired her.

They paid her a year's severance ($186,000) and paid to move her back to Atlanta. Then the ISD hired the former Superintendent of the Beaumont, TX, ISD. That district was so involved in corruption and mismanagement the State of Texas took over the district...and my local school hired him and a couple of staffers including his girlfriend and 2 others implicated. He lasted 3 years with no improvement in scores. On to the 4th Superintendent who immediately hired 8 executives at over $100,000/yr. Still, teachers are having to reach into their pockets to purchased daily supplies the district says they can't afford.

One school board member drove his kids to an elementary school each morning in his Mercedes so they could be a part of the free school breakfast and lunch program. He decided to run for the Legislature and the kids vanished from the daily free meal programs. They still went to school but were apparently fed breakfast at home before school.

The school's football team won its first state championship in 2015 in 6A, the highest level in Texas, and then dismissed the white HC because he wasn't black. How dare a white coach succeed with a 99% black team and school.

Education and educating students comes long after the leaders engorge themselves with obscenely high salaries and political correctness.
