Rookie cop with poor training? No idea. Probably just someone who never had any business being a policeman.
He didn't just move his hands. As soon as the cop opens the door, the kid reaches with his right hand and puts the car in reverse. Any cop would go to defcon 1 as soon as that happens, that was idiotic and may have gotten him killed.
My man, i typically don’t try to intervene in these convos, but you appear to be persistent on this topic. There is actually no excuse for the cop’s actions - which is why he was fucking FIRED, will likely be criminally prosecuted for deadly assault/attempted murder, and likely will have his balls sued off in Civil Court…
The kid did nothing wrong. 99.999999999% of cops wouldn’t have done what this dipshit did. Cops don’t fire 10 rounds at a car because it decides to simply “evade” after contact. They pursue and attempt to apprehend, exhausting all procedural measures at their disposal before even drawing their weapon. This particular contact was unlawful given the cop decided to break and enter into this young man’s personal property, unprovoked.
The victim was accosted, unlawfully, by the state and exercised his freedom. He wasn’t detained. He wasn’t under arrest. He wasn’t even contacted due to a moving violation. In this country we have no obligation, legal or otherwise, to chat with cops while sitting in our cars eating dinner (or for any other reason - including getting contacted during vehicle movement).
Most of us do engage in conversation with police officers out of common human courtesy, but if I’m sitting in my car eating a fucking hamburger and a guy just opens my door like that - I’m bolting, too.
This victim of tyranny had his 1st, 4th, and 5th Amendment Constitutional Rights violated and then was assaulted with a firearm at the hands of the state… That cop is a piece of shit and I pray he changes his life.
You’re not making sense…
Peace.
