What people are not taking about is that even if there is enough electricity, nobody’s house service will support the additional amperage. Most house service panels are 200 amps. To add a couple fast chargers would more than double that. When our kids were in HS we had 5 cars. To serve that we would need around a 500a service. That alone would be several thousand dollars. What is going to happen for multi-family housing? This is the least thought out initiative of our lifetimes.
