My great grandfather fought for the state of Georgia in the Civil War after he resigned from West Point.
I also had relatives from the state of New York that fought for the union in the Civil War. Both sides agreed that what Sherman did was atrocious

It’s only a war crime if you lose the war. Plus if I’m not mistaken old honest Abe approved of Sherman’s plan. Sorry, my neoconfederate is showing again.
 
I have been trying to figure out just exactly how I feel about this shit going on. I go from somber to pissed to angry, and just start all over again. I am getting a bad feeling about where we are headed. I don’t want war but will stand up and fight if needed. I just don’t think we are going to be able to avoid it. I have no doubt which side will be victorious, but know one will win.

Honestly, I think more is going on than we know. There are a lot of things that don’t add up. Things seem fucky. Just hope our side is ultimately doing the fucking.

I hope you are right. I see him completely fucking this country in his first 72hrs and see everything I have worked for to provide a good life for my family just going down the drain. I’m a project superintendent and have 3 jobs going right now and none of them were bid with $5.00 diesel. On a light day, just one of my jobs burns 1,000 gals, that’s a $3,000 increase in cost every day. We are already talking about how many hands we are going to have to cut to compensate for a $15,000/wk cost increase and that’s just in fuel. Doesn’t include any other input costs which are also going to go up. I don’t think most of this country realizes how bad it’s fixing to get.

edit: that’s if fuel goes up that much. That’s what our suppliers are telling us what we could see in the next year.

I don't believe they honestly voted blue. It was one of the states that was supposed to be in play.

Anyone who believes Trump had a shot in Cali can't believe that state went blue. The whole state lives off of fracking.

The left won’t care. They are irrational. You cannot “out nice” or explain something to them with civility. Have you not been paying attention.

I'd say if you are going to try to reason with them it can't be more than one point.

They view a continued conversation on the topic as an attack on their person because of how our society coddles these days (especially the young).

I wouldn't completely give up on conversation but 'deep' conversation isn't the way these days unfortunately.
