It was rough, almost broke me physically, spiritually and financially. I had to quit work and take care of her day and night 24/7/365 for 5 years. 72 radiations and 2 rounds of chemo, and various operations. I was down to 140 lbs by the time she went into hospice. Cost me an 800 acre cattle ranch all paid for, a 3 bedroom bungalow on the river in town all paid for, I kept my 20 acres above the Missouri River on the mountain in Montana, you will find you will pay any price for family.
When faced with these things you quickly understand what has value in your life.
I remember the day near the end, my daughter came to me and said "Dad please come to Church with me on Sunday" and I said I can't Honey, I can't. God Has Forgotten Me Here.
Then we both started to cry. A few months short of 40 years.
