• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

I love high school football. Okay. I love football, but especially hs, closely followed by college. Always have. I used to go to Texas HS playoffs every year. Max was 3.5 months old at his first playoff day in Texas stadium. Didn't matter who was playing. I was there.

Max's team isn't great They're overall small, fast and smart with a handful of really good athletes.. and the QB looks really good stepping off the bus. God love him, he can't throw a ball for shit. But he can run and accidentally connects a time or 3 when it matters. They're finally running a spread after 13 years of me loudly bitching and wearing everybody(Ahem, coaches) out that these boys will never be a pound and ground team. I don't care what anybody says. I'm taking credit. I think coach got sick of listening to me and gave in to prove me wrong. And I was not frigging wrong.🤣 Now just have to get a qb with a hint of touch (the young man next year isn't solid yet, but he will be. Max and a couple of guys are working with him to get him ready. (Reps and reps after practice every day)) but damn if they are finally learning not to quit. (Max's biggest ongoing frustration. Losing is one thing. Walking in beat is another).

The boys won tonight (and thank goodness. It's homecoming). Wasn't pretty, but a win is a win.

Max had a frigging awesome int and a fumble recovery. He had a great game. And he hurts. As he usually does. Hurt isn't injured. He'll be out shooting lax balls and golfing Sunday.... weather permitting. He'll be lifting and running tomorrow morning to break down the stiffness.

He's now at 6 turnovers (leading the league, maybe the region, though I think he's 3rd)Gotta wait for stats to be posted)). His goal is 10 turnovers. The league record is 9. 4 more to go with 4 games left. He's also now 10th overall in tackles....as a frigging safety. (Not good team wise. But, personally, very good. He would prefer the opposite).

And don't think that lacrosse has been put on a back burner.

My boy exhausts me just watching. But damn it's fun even as I pray for no injury for any of the young men suiting up. I hate seeing any player injured, no matter the team/ level. That could be my kid at any given time.

Okay. Carry on. Just wanted to inject a little parental bragging and a break from the shitshow that is the country/world.

Wisconsin state House Speaker Robin Vos (R) signed off on the first subpoenas in an election audit in the state, the latest sign the controversial review of the 2020 race is escalating.

Vos put out a statement Friday morning saying that the subpoenas were being filed as part of the GOP-led investigation being helmed by former state Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman, who had previously visited the site of the Arizona election audit. Gableman had already warned he could issue subpoenas to election officials who refuse to comply with his requests for information.

The subpoena to Woodall-Vogg, which was provided to The Hill, also compels her to appear in Brookfield on Oct. 15. She must bring with her documents and copies of communications she had with city and state officials about the 2020 election and any information about any private money that was used to administer the November race. Milwaukee was one of several cities that received private grants to help run the election.

As I understand they have requested information from these cities and when they refused they went to the subpoena's.

What are you hiding dems? Something to do with the $10 million Cuckerberg spent in WI? Yes, that is something they are wanting to look at very closely.

His money reportedly went to 200 municipalities in the state.

Re: Librarians. People need to wake up. This shit has been going on in public libraries for years. They take Huck Finn off the shelves and replace it with this shit.

People need to go in masse to these places and go through each aisle and find out exactly what is being shoved on unsuspecting patrons. Then do whatever it takes to remove that filth. Irving, TX, libraries brought a bunch of cross-dressing transvestites in all their regalia in to read to pre-school kids.

If they are going to fire you from your job and deny you access to schools, medical care, etc., then there is plenty of time available to organized and do what is necessary.
