Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Years ago this was dismissed as a conspiracy theory by crazies and the idea was subject to ridicule.
Now they are openly acknowledging it and trying to pass it off as a good thing? No.
We need to close our border, deport the illegals, and embrace the negative population growth.
If the rich business owner overlords want workers they can exploit and pay less. Minimum wage has been stagnant since 2009. It needed to be increased years before the COVID shutdown happened and now with post-COVID inflation it's appalling and absolutely ridiculous that nothing has been done.
Wages need to increase. Do you know what increases wages? A worker shortage.
Competitive job market = wages are suppressed
Labor shortage = wages increase
Why do the rich want the border open? Because they hate you and they don't want to pay you a fair wage. I'm being serious. The rich hate the poor. But for some reason a lot of poor people absolutely adore the rich.
There have been studies done about this. A legitimately poor person in filthy rags who begs for money will receive less charity than a person in a nice business suit who begs for money. The rest of us have this preconception that the poor deserve to be poor.
But we are all poor in the eyes of a billionaire. They see us all as vermin.
Why do we perpetuate this? Fuck if I know.
