• Pat Flood (@rebarcock) passed away 9/21/25. Pat played a huge role in encouraging the devolopmemt of this site and donated the very first dollar to get it started. Check the thread at the top of the board for the obituary and please feel free to pay your respects there. I am going to get all the content from that thread over to his family so they can see how many people really cared for Pat outside of what they ever knew. Pat loved to tell stories and always wanted everyone else to tell stories. I think a great way we can honor Pat is to tell a story in his thread (also pinned at the top of the board).

Car wrapping.

I had the top of my Wrangler wrapped white because of the heat after sitting outside all day. They did such a bad job, that when I was down, I’d climb up and look at the wrap. It always made me laugh. Now it’s peeling, and I need to remove it. Any ideas on how to make it easier?

What exactly is the wrap and how is applied? Is it plastic and it goes on almost like a saran wrap?
Vinyl with an adhesive backing and kinda. They use heat and stretch it to catch all the contours. Downside is if you open the doors, you can see the old colors. But, when I go thru the carwash it pops. Had one guy tell me that color "doesn't exist in nature, I've only seen it in comic books".

I took that as a compliment, because I didn't know how else to take it.
