The bloom is coming off the current thing rose for Democrats. And there may be enough defectors in the GOP caucus to start putting the clamps on outgoing money to Ukraine. If the election swings one or both legislative chambers to the Republicans I would not be surprised to see Russia and Ukraine "suddenly" come to an understanding before the new Congress is sworn in.
