Have no idea how I double quoted you but.
Looks like hell but It’s delicious. Turkeys onion potato corn. Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, mustard hot sauce other stuff I’m forgetting off top of my head.
It’s my grandads old recipe. Hand written on a 3x5 card. We make 30 quarts at the time in that cast iron pot
That sounds amazing. Put it over rice or biscuits or eat as is?

What part of the country are you in? I gotta find it and grab a bowl of that.

You can eat it plain, or with rice. Pomaria, SC. Our town uses turkey, town over makes chicken stew.
If you have a good day on the lake you can use catfish to stew with same recipe s

Love SC. You all have it going on down there.

A good pal just bought a lake house on Lake Keowee. Gorgeous house on a really cool lake. I’ll be down frequently this summer.

Pretty good day today. Went up to do some work on the garden at the farm. Rode around the property to check things and found an old mulberry tree that had some ripe fruit. Never tried mulberry, but it’s prett fantastic. A little like blackberry, but sweeter. Anyway, came home and put a ribeye on the grill with some zucchini and fried some hash browns on the side. Finished up with some mulberries over ice cream. Now watching the Braves and enjoying a martini. Not bad at all.A03D50D1-E0AC-442D-891D-6700A87A14AD.jpeg5FD89712-AA92-484F-B218-CA08C7B6AB61.jpeg4434D0B3-C137-4241-B60C-E105D757D749.jpeg

On vacay in SC. Day drinking on HHI, early dinner at Poseidon, drinks at British Open Pub, back to hotel to mess up the room with the lady. Showered and packed up for day trip to Savannah and evening in Charleston. 3 days down, 4 to go before it’s back to O H N O.

Wife was out of town all day at a baby shower. My 3 sons and I deep cleaned our master bedroom and bathroom, and detailed her car inside and out. Bought some flowers and nice chocolates. That’s her Mother’s Day gift. Tomorrow is ribs on the Traeger with corn bread and mashed potatoes.

I’m all in the clear.

Started out with lacrosse in Cincy. (good guys won). Lunch after because we were starving, but it took a much longer while because no staff. I felt so bad for the people trying to keep up and kept assuring our server that we had as much time to wait as she needed.

And then... my daughter's college grad party. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that my 2 binky sucking baby girl is graduating from UD tomorrow. She's a real grown up with a real job and everything. The sintemintalty of the night in no way deterred us from shit talking each other and my dominating her ass at flip cup. 🤣

It was a good night with lots of laughter. There will be tears tomorrow. Tears of pride, missing my snuggly, roly poly baby girl while in awe of the woman she has become, the years of having her to myself on road trips to the next dive meet, joy, and hope and excitement for her future. She's off to a good start.

And I'll do it again in a couple of weeks when her baby sister graduates hs.

Max is going to have a hard time this year. He wants his sisters home. He's going to be an only child for the next 2 years. God help us both. 🤣

Wife and sis in law took their mom out for Mother’s Day since college graduation is tomorrow. They got Greek and I’m jealous. Love a righteous authentic Greek meal.

They are home and the bourbon has taken hold. Watching Goose live from the Caverns in Pelham, TN. Great fucking show and cool venue. The above ground part, not in the cavern (which would be amazing to see).

Spending the weekend at my FILs as he’s still in rehab after flipping a backhoe a month & a half ago.

Son & I got up around 8 this morning & started mowing with the two tractors. Field roads, woods roads, ponds, & such. Done for the day & sitting on the back porch having a cold one & looking forward to a few friends coming over later for grilling & drinking.

My current view

Lake Keowee is a great lake, your buddy is going to have a blast. Keowee is a part of a chain of lakes like Jocasse, Rabun etc. that are all beautiful, clean, lakes in the foothills of the mountains. My wife had a house on Rabun and its like an idyllic mountain lake. Keowee is similar, nice purchase by your buddy.
